Here

At this point it doesn’t matter what your stance is on gun control, mental health or public ed. We are here now. Here is a Kindergarten class memorizing a poem about an active shooter. Here is a group of 14 year olds receiving bullet proof plates for their backpacks. Here is an idea: why don’t we take the money spent on standardized tests in this country that are written by testing companies for millions of dollars that are so culturally biased it’s appalling, and spend it on healthcare and resources that will help our children and their families. It’s time for America to wake up, for parents to look at their kids and for us to realize that we can make a difference where we are-every single day. Acknowledge your child, dig deep in their business, recognize when something isn’t right, tell someone who can help, keep telling someone until help arrives. This is on all of us.
